We had a wonderful stay at the Observatory in Saltburn. the apartment was of a high standard, with lots of Victorian features throughout the building. the entrance was spacious and there was easy parking in the courtyard. the working lift to the top floor was a lifesaver for carrying our luggage. the views from the balcony were absolutely spectacular, but our favorite spot was the glass domed room at the end of the apartment. the kitchen was well equipped, the living and dining room were beautifully furnished, and there was even a small balcony. Both bedrooms were a good size and had comfortable beds, and the massive bathroom had plenty of hot water for relaxing after a day of exploring. the area was superb, with outstanding walks and beautiful bays and coves nearby.

We highly recommend a stay at the Observatory. Cons: Nothing to dislike.

Who needs a properly functioning kitchen, comfortable bed, clean carpets, or a functional shower? Not me!

For decades I've looked up at this apartment and wondered what it was like, and then I discovered it was available to hire - I wasn't disappointed. It was a really lovely place to spend my birthday. The views were amazing, especially from the glass domed room at the end of the apartment. The property had lots of Victorian features and the entrance was spacious with easy parking in the courtyard. The hosts were attentive and the guidebook provided was helpful. It was a well-equipped apartment with a great living and dining area, two comfortable bedrooms, and a massive bathroom with plenty of hot water. The location was superb, with outstanding walks and beautiful beaches nearby. I would definitely book again.
